It is the policy of the Company to affirmatively offer equal employment opportunity to qualified employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, disabled or otherwise protected veterans, or other protected class. This policy applies to recruitment, employment, promotion, upgrades, layoffs, termination, training and development, wages, benefits and all other privileges, terms and conditions of employment. Additionally, it is the policy of the Company to not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant. However, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individual(s) who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the contractor’s legal duty to furnish information.

This policy shall be periodically brought to the attention of all supervisory personnel and shall be administered with a positive attitude.

It is the responsibility of each supervisor of the company to ensure affirmative implementation of these policies to avoid any discrimination in employment. All employees are expected to recognize these policies and cooperate with their implementation. Violation of these policies is a disciplinary offense. The Affirmative Action Officer has been assigned to direct the establishment and monitor the implementation of personnel procedures to guide our affirmative action program throughout AR Byrd Company. A notice explaining the company’s policy will remain posted.
